# How to check packet loss?

i want check packet loss rate.

i can check packet loss in suricata stat.log (capture.kernel\_packet/drops)  
capture.kernel\_packet/drops is only increases, but does not decrease.

i want check packet loss rate in moment.

how can i this?

You can calculate the difference between 2 updates or enable `delta` logging in your settings.
