What is the recommendation in regards to general interface config, specifically promiscuous mode. Is it required or optional? Any caveats? Not seeing it mentioned in the documentation except a config flag. Thanks!
It’s recommended to use that mode to make sure you don’t miss any relevant traffic. Unless you have any issues or other reasons, try to use that mode.

For this specific mode, no, it’s more or less a “known fact”. Might be worth to add it to the official documentation.
