Difference between ET Open and ET Open NO GPL rulesets

Hello,

Kinda confused in understanding the difference between ET Open and ET Open NO GPL rulesets. Any advise on what should we use?

Hi,

The ET Open set includes rules that were a part of the Snort GPL ruleset (prior to the VRT ruleset). The -nogpl rules do not include the Snort GPL rules.

The ruleset you use and deploy to individual sensors (based on the traffic they see) unfortunately not something we could reliably comment on.
