"Failed to find a pcap device for IP 192

Hey guys.

As per the above title, I have problems launching Suricata, both in system and service modes.

I’m running Suricata 7.0.7-64 bit IDS-IPS on Windows 10 and Windows 11 - both returned the same results.

FYI, I have tried editing the interface command in the config file to the home IP, but to no avail. I also tried the MAC of the network card, but I received a thread stack size error. When I swapped the command to eth0, the alert changes to SCM:5 error.

I’ve also tried editing the address-groups, but no luck.

Every other software and dependencies, include npcap, is updated.

Any ideas, ladies and gentlemen?

How did you install Suricata and the necessary libraries?
Can you run other tools via PCAP mode on that interface?
