Can you post the contents of the suricata.log file that covers the time period of the failure?

What version of Suricata are you using? We recommend using the latest version (6.0.13) as it contains important security and bug fixes.

The answer depends on how suricata was installed on your system.

If you’re using a package manager: Suricata 6.0.13 stable packages are now available for Ubuntu on Ubuntu PPA (Launchpad)
