Suricata 6.0.5 and 5.0.9 released

We are pleased to announce the releases of Suricata 6.0.5 and 5.0.9. These releases are bug fix releases, fixing a number of important issues.

Notable Changes

LibHTP has been updated to 0.5.40. This is a required version that is bundled with both releases.
Suricata-Update, as bundled with 6.0.5, was updated to 1.2.4.

Various security, performance, accuracy and stability issues have been fixed.

5.0 EOL timeline

The 5.0 branch will go End Of Life (EOL) on August 1st, 2022. After this date no more fixes will be produced or released for the 5.0 branch.
