Suricata output to REDIS with password auth

Hi !

Im in suricata 7.0.5 installed from source, in Raspbian bookwork

I’m having some issue to set up Suricata EVE output to REDIS with password auth, since I couldnt find any example in the wild.

Is this supported on Suricata?

A quick look at how to do auth with the Hiredis client shows me that it is not possible with Suricata at this time. It would require support for authentication to be added.

I think that would make a nice addition.

I guess its not planned, at least for now, right?

Also, is Suricata compatible with Redis Streams? It seems not

I’ve created a feature request, but with no specific target time frame yet.
