Suricata is on the ballot for the 2026 SANS Institute Difference Makers Awards as a finalist for Innovation of the Year (Open Source Product or Tool), and we need your vote!
If you haven’t come across them, John Pescatore and the late SANS founder Alan Paller started these awards to recognize people whose work made a real, measurable difference in security. Past winners range from Dan Kaminsky to high school teachers to the people behind free tools you’ve probably used. Most good security work only gets noticed when something breaks, so we’re thankful that these awards exist.
If Suricata has ever saved you on a bad day, a vote is a nice way to say thanks.
Being nominated at all is such a special thing. We’re thankful to the team who took the time to nominate us and explain why!
