Um unless I am missing it I cant find a signout button

that’s actually a valid point, I couldn’t find it either easily.
When you click on your avatar, the menu rolls down, click on the greyed-out person icon, and there you have the log out button.

Also, a shortcut works - double tapping - Shift + Z, Shift + Z signs you out of the current device.
