@florinsfetea sorry for the delay in getting back I have updated the current scenario in Discussion for DPDK API support into Suricata

Update on the code merge shared below

  1. Shared an early draft on working pull request as Jan 2021 to @vjulien and team
  2. Updates for vendor-neutral contribution agreement discussion started off from Feb 2021
  3. Finalized the new contribution agreement as of the 3rd week of August 2021.
  4. Since delays for the current PR were ongoing, helped in reviewing v2, v3, v4 and v5 (ongoing) for new pull request https://github.com/OISF/suricata/pull/6317

Please reach out to @lukashino as the new merge request for enabling DPDK suricata is from https://github.com/OISF/suricata/pull/6317

note: from my end I have been ready with code to be merged to Suricata from Oct 2020, was waiting till Aug 2021 for confirmation from suricata team to agree on vendor-neutral contribution agreement. But now it looks like focus is on pull request from alternate source
